Hi all! Happy back to school for most of you. As this week began, I found myself a little depressed. All of my co-workers and most of my friends began a new school year. My facebook newsfeed was full of back to school comments and even my non-teacher friends and family- many of them have kids- were also so excited to comment about it being a new school year. My husband and I both decided a long time ago- before we even got married- that I would be a stay at home mom when we had children. Especially now that we are no where near family, it seems to be even more important that I stay home with our little Lily. While I am thrilled to stay home with her, I couldn't help but be a little sad as I watched so many friends set up their classrooms, say hello to new students, and watch their students from last year go on to bigger and better things.
This morning, as I went out to buy Grandparents' Day cards, I looked in the rearview mirror at my Lily. I had a wave of happiness that I can be in the car with her at 10:00. If I was at work, I would be up to my eyeballs with school supplies, papers, runny noses, and everything else an early childhood classroom is filled with. While I LOVE my job as a teacher and I cannot wait to go back, I am so blessed that I can be home with my little girl and watch HER grow and develop. God knows that in a blink of an eye she will be headed to school. Until then, I get to enjoy her company everyday!!
As I still have an urge to teach and look forward to setting up "school" for Lily, I continue to make things I look forward to using in my classroom. Today I uploaded morning message greetings and activities. I used many of them in my classroom and the kids love them. Check them out on my TPT store. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to comment below on any greetings and activities you use in your classroom!

Hello September
So it is September 1! Many teachers (and parents) are scratching their heads wondering where summer went. Even as I am not heading back to school, I can't believe how fast the last 3 months have been. My little girl is over 3 months old and she continues to grow. Soon I will be sending her to Kindergarten and wondering where the first 5 years of her life went.
As school is approaching I came up with a new idea for early childhood classrooms. I am creating signs and other printables for a successful drama center. It will be available in my TPT store soon. It will include printables (signs and props) for a number of different drama centers such as restaurants, airport, book store, and much more! Keep a look out and it will sure be worth your while.
I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Labor Day weekend and enjoy the last fleeting moments of summer.
